6. Follow the Save procedure, described later in this section, to save the continuity program
to floppy.
7. Disconnect known-good circuit from Model 4000C.
8. Return ENABLE keyswitch to the horizontal position.

Testing (Single Test)

In this test, one complete scan is performed on the circuit under test. If the scanned
configuration compares exactly with the "learned" continuity program in memory, the test is
successful and the display will show "Passed." If an error is encountered, the points in error
are displayed, along with an indication of OPEN or SHORT. If a printer is connected, and it
is desirable to record errors, use ERROR LIST instead of, or after, this procedure. A
complete Test procedure is provided below. To select and use TEST, proceed as follows:
1. Load program to be used (refer to "Load Program").
2. Install harness to be tested.
3. Press TEST key; Single Test will be displayed, and one complete scan will be made.
4. If Passed appears at the end of the scan, the test is successful.
5. An "O" (open) or "S" (short), with the From/To points, will be displayed when an error
is encountered.
6. To continue test beyond the failed points, press TEST again and testing will resume.
7. When testing is finished, disconnect harness.

Test and Print (Error List)

This test requires hookup of the optional printer. When ERROR LIST is selected, Model
4000C performs a single test and prints a list of errors encountered, or it prints "Passed" when
there are no errors. A sample error list is shown in Figure 4. To select and use ERROR
LIST, proceed as follows:
1. Load program to be used (refer to "Loading a Program").
2. Connect harness to be tested.
3. Connect printer, turn on power, and verify that the SELECT light is lit on the printer.
4. Press ERROR LIST. The Model 4000C will perform a single test and will print a list of
all errors, or it will print Passed if there are no errors.
5. When test and printouts are finished, disconnect harness.
