USER NOTATION TABLE

In general, the capability to block assign cross references is the most useful. However, it
requires the interface fixturing to be wired so that the mating connector pins are backwired in
numeric order to a block of consecutive tester point numbers. For example, if a 50-pin mating
connector J1 has pin 1 wired to point 200, pin 2 is wired to 201, etc, block assign can be used to
assign connector/pin labels to all 50 pins without entering each label individually. This process
reduces both programming time and entry errors.
1. Set the current line to the point number where you wish the block to start.
2. While in the Display Mode (only displaying U in the left column), type B and press
ENTER. The display then shows:
3. Enter the number of points that you wish to increment with each user notation (between 1
and 256). The display then shows:
4. Enter the starting user notation. A user notation can be any alphanumeric string up to 8
characters without spaces. The first character cannot be numeric. The display then
shows:
5. Enter the ending user notation. The display then shows:
6. Enter the number by which you want the user notation incremented for each point. The
