MISCELLANEOUS CONTROLS

ENABLE Keyswitch

Before Learn Known Good, Save to Disk, and Format Disk can be performed, the ENABLE
keyswitch must be enabled (vertical position). This keyswitch prevents an existing program, on
floppy disk, from being accidentally overwritten. The keyswitch also prevents unauthorized
users to learn an assembly that may have errors.

VOLUME Control

The VOLUME control is used to adjust the output of the internal speaker and the earphone jack.
A tone is output to the speaker to aid the operator in locating points in the assembly modes,
indicates when proper termination is made, and indicates when various operations are complete.

PROBE Receptacle

The PROBE receptacle provides a connection for the wrist strap used in the build modes and
identification mode. Two inputs for the wrist strap are provided, one on the Control Head and
one on rear panel of the Main Chassis.

EARPHONE Jack

The EARPHONE jack is used where the ambient noise level makes it difficult to hear the tone
generated by the internal speaker.

INDICATORS

The operator may monitor system activity through an alphanumeric display. A power on
indicator light is also provided.

Power Indicator Light

This light indicates that the Tester is power up. The indicator is powered directly from the 5 vdc
power supply.
