OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT

CRT/Keyboard Terminal

With the addition of the optional CRT/Keyboard Terminal, keyboard commands may be used
in lieu of Control Head switches. The keyboard is also used to enter additional commands, as
well as to enter wire list continuities into memory. Commands and wire lists are displayed on
the CRT, which also displays test results. Wire lists and test results are displayed on the
screen in tabular form, providing the operator with an accumulation of data rather than the
one-line display that the Control Head provides. The CRT/Keyboard Terminal may also be
employed (in lieu of the control panel) for controlling the operation of the floppy disk drive
and printer.

Lamp Driver

The optional Lamp Driver drives lamps on the assembly fixture to aid in locating connectors,
components, and routing paths. The Lamp Driver can drive up to 254 separate lamp circuits.
Lamps are assigned using the CRT/Keyboard. An interface cable connects the Lamp Driver
to the Main Chassis.

Disk Controller Board

The Disk Controller Board enables the Model 4000C to be interfaced to a Floppy Disk Drive.
A controller board is included in systems with the build-in 3.5 inch floppy. The disk
controller can be interfaced to two floppy drives.

Single Disk Drive System

A single 5.25 inch floppy disk drive may be added to the Model 4000C. The 5.25 inch floppy
enables moving of programs between a 5.25 inch based personal computer to the Model
4000C. The single drive system does not include ad disk controller board since the single
drive is usually added to a system with the build-in 3.5-inch floppy drive.

Dual Disk Drive System

A dual drive system is available for systems without the build-in 3.5 inch floppy drive. The
dual drive cannot be used with the built-in 3.5 inch floppy since the controller interfaces to
only two drives.

Printer

The printer produces hardcopy records of test results, wire list programs, and system setup
parameters.
