Mounting The Pan/Tilt Head & Payload
The four screws to attach the head to the pedestal column should have been
removed from the pedestal crate earlier.
1.
With the MCB controller in Local, twist the joystick to lower the column to
its minimum height. Since the column is not balanced, you may need to
help the servo by pushing down on the column.
2.
Switch the MCB controller to Remote.
3.
Press the Stop button on the pedestal control panel to power it down.
4.
Position the screws in the holes in the mounting plate at the top of the col-
umn.
5.
Refer to the User Manual for the Pan/Tilt Head for specific instructions on
mounting the head and payload.

CAUTION: After mounting the head and payload, NEVER
try to raise or lower the column until the pedestal has been
pressurized - see the next section of this chapter.
