Warning Light/Symbol
What it means
Low tyre pressure
The warning light switches on and a message is displayed to indicate that the tyre pressure is lower than the
recommended value and/or that slow pressure loss is occurring. In these cases, optimal tyre duration and fuel
consumption may not be guaranteed.
Should two or more tyres be in the condition mentioned above, the display will show the indications corresponding to
each tyre.
Accordingly, when the warning light turns on, you stop and check your tyres as soon as possible and inflate them to
the proper pressure. Driving on a significantly under-inflated tyre causes the tyre to overheat and can lead to tyre
failure. Low inflation increases fuel consumption and reduces the working life of the tread; it may also condition
handling and braking efficiency of the car.
29) 30)
Each tyre, including the spare tyre (where provided), must be checked monthly when cold and inflated to the inflation
pressure recommended by the manufacturer on the tyre information placard or tyre inflation pressure label. (If your car
has tyres of a different size than required by the manufacturer, you must determine the proper tyre inflation pressure
for those tyres.)
Please note that the TPMS is not a substitute for proper tyre maintenance and it is the driver's responsibility to
maintain correct tyre pressure, even if under-inflation has not reached the level to trigger illumination of the TPMS low
tyre pressure warning light.
REAR FOG LIGHT
The warning light or symbol switches on when the rear fog light is activated.
GLOW PLUG PREHEATING (Diesel versions)
The warning light or symbol will light for approximately two seconds when the ignition device is turned to the ENGINE
position. Longer may be required at cold temperatures. The car will not start as long as the warning light or symbol is
on.
Refer to the "Starting the engine" chapter in the "Starting and driving" section for more information.
NOTE The pre-starting warning light or symbol may not appear if the temperature in the intake manifold is sufficiently
high.
FUEL CUT-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION
(where provided)
The symbol switches on in the event of fuel cut-off system intervention.
