Go to Main Menu > SETTING > EVENT > ALARM > IPC Ext Alarm.

On the IPC Ext Alarm tab, select channel from the drop-down menu.
Select the Enable check box to enable alarm detection of the selected alarm input.
In the Device Type box, select the alarm input type: Normal Close or Normal Open.
