Using the APO function

When the APO (Automatic Power-off) function is set to ON, the transceiver automatically
turns off if no operation is performed for the designated time. A beep sounds about one
minute before the transceiver turns off. For example, when connecting the transceiver to
your car battery, the APO function prevents accidental draining of the battery.

Press and hold
The Setup menu appears.

Rotate the DIAL to select [8 CONFIG], then press

The menu list appears.

Rotate the DIAL to select [13 APO], then press
Displays the screen where the remaining time until
the power turns off is set.

Rotate the DIAL to select the desired remaining time
from the following 14 options.
"0.5 hour", "1.0 hour", "1.5 hour", "2.0 hour", "3.0
hour", "4.0 hour", "5.0 hour", "6.0 hour", "7.0 hour",
"8.0 hour", "9.0 hour", "10.0 hour", "11.0 hour", "12.0
hour"
Tip
When "OFF" is selected, the APO function does not
activate.

Press and hold
The APO function is activated and the display returns to the previously viewed
screen.

You can also return to the previous screen by pressing

for over one second.
