Transmitting a call
D Directly entering a message
<Key operation>
Using [Digital Button]:
1. Push [Digital Button] to enter the Application
Selection mode.
• The current call type is briefly displayed, then "VOICE"
is displayed.
LTo change the call type, see page 7-3.
2. Push [CH Up] or [CH Down] to select "MSG," then
push [Digital Button].

• Enters the Message Selection mode.
3. Push [CH Up] or [CH Down] to select the
message, then push [#] to enter the Message
Entry mode.

• The first character blinks.
L In the Message Entry mode, the last character blinks
when [M] is pushed.

• To move the cursor, push [M] or [#].
• To enter a space, push [CH Up].
• To delete, push [CH Down].
• To delete all, hold down [#] for 1 second.
• To cancel, push [dPMR Button].
5. After entering a message, hold down [dPMR
Button] for 1 second to save the message.
6. Push [dPMR Button] to enter the Destination ID
Selection mode.
7. Push [CH Up] or [CH Down] to select the
destination ID.
8. Push [PTT] to transmit the entered message to
the selected station or Talkgroup.
• "MSG OK" is displayed after receiving an
acknowledgement from the target station.
• "MSG FAIL" is displayed if the target station does not
send back an acknowledgement.
