7� If your splitter is out fitted with tail lights, en-
sure light wiring harness is connected to the
tow vehicle�
8� route the harness and cables across the
hitch to prevent snagging� Be sure to provide
slack for turning�
9� reverse the above procedure when unhook-
ing�
4.7.3 CLEVIS HITCH
1� Make sure that all bystanders, especially small
children, are clear of the working area�
2� Make sure there is enough room and clear-
ance to safely back up to the machine�
3� Slowly back the tow vehicle until the clevis on
the hitch and tow vehicle are aligned�
4� Attach the ball hitch:
a� Install the drawbar pin through the hitch�
b� Install the snapper pin through the drawbar
pin�
c� Attach the safety chain between the hitch
and drawbar cage�
d� Pull out the snapper pin and pull up to
place stand in its stowed position� replace
snapper pin�
5� Attach the safety chain securely to the tow
frame to prevent unexpected separation�
Cross the chains when attaching to the toe
vehicle
6� reverse the above procedure when unhook-
ing�
