Observe all antistatic precautions when handling electronic

equipment.
CAUTION
1. Install the correct faceplate (item 1) to mother board. Loosely install
the (3) 6-32 M/F standoffs and washers (items 10 & 6), then apply
slight inward pressure on faceplate to seat faceplate on grounding
fingers and secure (3) 6-32 M/F standoffs. Do not allow grounding
fingers on the bottom of the asynchronous port assemblies to snap
through the faceplate (see Figure C-2, view A).
2. Install the EMI/RFI shield (item 9) to the M/F standoffs with its silver
side facing upwards, secure shield to standoffs using (3) 6-32 screws
and washers (items 5 & 6).
3. Install (4) 6-32 x 3/4 Hex spacers (item 2) to mother board using (4)
6-32 screws and washers (items 5, 6) supplied.
4. Install daughter board (item 4) into front panel aligning RJ connectors
in faceplate openings then seating 50-pin stacking connector for final
alignment. Secure daughter board to spacers using 6-32 screws and
washers (items 5, 6) supplied.
5. Install stiffeners (item 3) to faceplate and daughter board using
existing 4-40 flathead screws and (2) 6-32 x 3/8 screws and washers
(item 6, 7) supplied.
6. After final assembly, inspect faceplate to insure that it makes full
contact with grounding fingers of RJ connector.
7. Transfer Ethernet address and serial number to blank label (item 8)
supplied and install on front panel as shown.
8. Install CSA Agency Label (item 11) on front panel, with "Maple Leaf"
facing down.
9. Install FCC Identification label (item 12) on faceplate. Align its
bottom edge with the top of the green stripe located at the bottom of
the faceplate and center it as shown.
