GENERAL
This appendix provides instructions on upgrading your CSMIM2-16 into
a 32 port CSMIM2-32 as well as instructions on upgrading the
CSMIM2-16 to a 20 port (16 asynchronous RS232 ports and 4 V.32 terbo
modem ports) MODMIM-4 or upgrading a MODEXT-4 to a 28 port (16
asynchronous RS232 ports and 12 V.32 terbo modem ports).
If you plan to install the Flash upgrade kit or expand the DRAM
NOTE
memory of your CSMIM2, see Appendices E and F. Install the
Flash or additional memory before mounting the
CSMIM2-16UG or the MOD4-UG daughter boards.

CSMIM2-16UG UPGRADE KIT
The CSMIM2-16UG upgrade kit consists of a 16 asynchronous port
daughter card and a CSMIM2-32 MIM faceplate. This kit allows the
CSMIM2-16 to be field upgraded to a CSMIM2-32. These installation
