CSMIM2 FRONT PANEL

1.9.1

Set Up Switch

The Set Up switch allows you to change the operational mode of the
CSMIM2 from normal to set up. The CSMIM2 automatically powers up
in normal mode. To enter set up mode, press the Set Up switch within 3
seconds of powering-up. When the S/U indicator lights, the CSMIM2 is
in set up mode.
The Set Up switch provides a dual function. Depressing the Set Up switch
for approximately 3 seconds causes the CSMIM2 to enter a reset state
identified by all port activity indicator LEDs ON, which is the same state
entered after power is turned on.
1.9.2

Port Activity Indicators

These indicators display serial port activity during normal operations.
1.9.3

Console Port

The CSMIM2 uses port 1 as a console port. To access the console port,
press the Set Up switch within 30 seconds of powering-up. The console
port provides access to the ROM Monitor commands when the CSMIM2
is in set up mode. Refer to Appendices A and B for console pinout
information.

MODMIM FRONT PANEL

The MODMIM uses the same LEDs as the CSMIM2-16 but adds an
additional five green LEDs and a reset switch for each modem port (refer
to Figure 1-2):
• 5 green LED status indicators
