Simrad SU90 Operator Manual
A firmware update for the Operating Panel was distributed with sonar software
version 3.1.8. If this update has not been implemented you will need to use the
Chrome web browser. If you want to use the Processor Unit you must first connect
it to the Internet, then download and install Chrome.
If the update with 3.1.8 was implemented you can do the firmware update on the
Processor Unit using the default browser.
Neither tools nor instruments are required. This procedure is made for the Microsoft
Windows ® 10 operating system. It is assumed that you are familiar with this operating
system.

The software release note may contain additional details related to the firmware update.
Procedure
1 Locate the firmware update file:
2 If you use a separate computer:
a Copy the file to a folder on your computer, but do not unpack it.
b Disconnect the Operating Panel from the Processor Unit. (Ethernet cable)
c Connect the Operating Panel to the computer.
d Open the web browser.

e In the browser address field, type: http://157.237.60.20:5000
Note
If you have previously changed the IP Address on the Operating Panel, you
must use this address to open the configuration page.
3 If you use the Processor Unit:
a Select
Power off
b In the
Power Off
the SU90 program.
c If applicable: Connect the keyboard and the mouse to USB sockets
on the front panel of the Processor Unit.
d From the Windows
e Insert the USB flash drive.
f Copy the file to a folder on the Processor Unit, but do not unpack it.
g Remove the USB flash drive.
