If you wish to install multiple Ad Hoc networks in the same
vicinity, Proxim recommends that you install no more than three
Ad Hoc networks in the same location and that you configure
each network with a unique independent Channel (1, 6, or 11) to
avoid interference between networks.

Advanced Parameters

Several advanced parameters are visible within the Advanced tab
of the Harmony 802.11b PC Card's Properties screen within
Windows' Network icon.
Authentication Algorithm
This parameter determines if the PC Card will use Shared Key
Authentication or Open System Authentication when establish-
ing communication with other 802.11b devices.
The Must use Shared with WEP option configures the PC Card
to use Shared Key Authentication when WEP is enabled. When
using this method, the PC Card can communicate with another
802.11b device only after it demonstrates that it is using one of
the network's Encryption Keys. Note that the PC Card will not
use Shared Key Authentication (even if Authentication Algo-
rithm is set to Must Use Shared with WEP) unless WEP is
enabled within the Harmony 802.11b Utility.
The WECA Compliant (always use Open) option configures the
PC Card to use Open System Authentication. When using this
method, the PC Card can communicate with another 802.11b
device without having to demonstrate that it is configured to use
one of the network's Encryption Keys.
By default, this parameter is set to WECA Compliant.
