For example, if the Fragmentation Threshold is set to 1000
Bytes, than a sending radio will break up any packet that is 1000
Bytes or larger into several smaller packets.
By default, the Fragmentation Threshold is set to 2432 Bytes.
This threshold is bigger than the largest Ethernet packet, so the
PC Card will not fragment any packets.
Infrastructure STA - Listen In
This parameter, the Listen Interval, determines how often a
Station in Power Saving mode will wake up to receive control
messages (which are also known as "beacons") from an Access
Point.
By default, a Station in PS mode will wake up to listen for every
third beacon. This corresponds to a value of 3.
Proxim recommends that you do not change this value unless
directed to do so by a Proxim Technical Support representative.
Preamble Mode
At the beginning of each radio packet is a preamble of 1s and 0s
that notifies receiving radios that a packet is on the way.
Older 802.11 products require longer preambles than newer
802.11 products.
To ensure full interoperability between 802.11 equipment from
different manufacturers, leave this parameter set to Long Tx
Preamble, the default setting.
