Follow these steps to configure the Encryption Key:
1.
Enter an Encryption Key in the fields provided.
The Encryption Key must match the key used by all of the
other 802.11b products on your network in order to com-
municate. By default, the Encryption Key is blank.
If you make a mistake while entering a key, click <Clear>
to erase the current entries and start over.
2.
Click <Write> to save the Encryption Key. Once saved,
the Encryption Keys are no longer visible within the
Harmony 802.11b Utility, although you can always over-
write the values.
Passphrase
For Ad Hoc networks, you may use the Passphrase feature rather
than manually enter the hexadecimal digits for each key.
Note:
Do not use the Passphrase feature if the PC Card is
configured to operate in Infrastructure mode.
Follow these steps to use the Passphrase feature:
1.
Enter a word, name, or phrase up to 32 alphanumeric
characters long in the Passphrase field.
2.
Click <Generate>.
