Rescan
Clicking the <Rescan> button will restart the Harmony driver.
When the driver is restarted in Infrastructure mode, the PC Card
will scan all of the available Channels continuously until it finds
an Access Point that matches its SSID.
When the driver is restarted in Ad Hoc mode, the PC Card will
scan for 5 seconds looking for an existing Ad Hoc network using
the same SSID. If one is not found, the PC Card will form its
own Ad Hoc network.
Throughput
The Tx and Rx Throughput fields display the instantaneous
transmit and receive throughput rates for the PC Card. This
information is displayed in bytes per second and is updated
every two seconds.
Link Quality
The Link Quality bar graph is only active when the PC Card is
configured to operate in Infrastructure mode. Link Quality is a
measure of receive and transmit errors over the radio.
The bar graph displays the quality of the link between the PC
Card and the Access Point it is associated with. The link is
characterized as "Excellent," "Good," "Fair," "Poor," and "Not
Connected."
When the Link Quality becomes Poor, the PC Card will begin to
look for another Access Point to associate with that offers a
stronger radio connection.
