C. IEEE 802.11b Direct Sequence Channels
The IEEE 802.11b standard specifies 14 Channels within the 2.4
GHz frequency band. The table below lists the center frequency
for each Channel.
If operating multiple Access Points or Ad Hoc networks in the
same vicinity, the distance between the center frequencies must
be at least 25 MHz to avoid interference. There are three inde-
pendent Channels that do not overlap: 1, 6, and 11.
Note that the available Channels differ from country to country.
In North America, only Channels 1 through 11 are available.
