A. Diagnostic Utilities
Proxim provides two tools with the Harmony 802.11b PC Card
for diagnostics, configuration, and site survey purposes: a
System Tray icon and the Harmony 802.11b Utility.
System Tray Icon
During the installation of a Harmony 802.11b PC Card, the
Setup program automatically installs the Harmony 802.11b
Utility and System Tray icon. The System Tray icon is loaded
each time the operating system starts. The icon changes in
appearance based on the PC Card's link state.
When not within range of an Access Point or Ad Hoc network,
the icon will appear as shown below and report the connection
status as "Not Linked" when the mouse cursor is placed over it.
When within range of an Access Point or Ad Hoc network, the
icon will appear as shown below and report the connection status
as "Linked" when the mouse cursor is placed over it.
Clicking the System Tray icon will launch the Harmony 802.11b
Utility.
