CYLINDER HEAD, CAMSHAFTS, CYLINDER
AND PISTON
1.Remove:
Cylinder head cover 1
Spark plug 2
2.Remove:
Plugs (with O-ring)
3.Align:
"T" mark on the rotor
With the stationary pointer on the crank-
case cover.

TDC alignment steps:
Turn the
wrench.
Align the "T" mark 1 on the rotor with
the stationary pointer 2 on the crankcase
cover. When the "T" mark is aligned with
the stationary pointer, the piston is at Top
Dead Center (TDC).
NOTE:
TDC on compression stroke check:
Both cam lobes must have a valve clear-
ance when the cam sprockets match mark
is aligned with the cylinder head match
mark.
If not, give the crankshaft one counter-
clockwise turn to meet above condition.

Cap bolt 1 (chain tensioner)
5.Remove:
