C. CONNECTING THE OUTBOARD
THROTTLE CABLE TO THE JUNCTION
UNIT
1) Install the outboard throttle cable ends
16mm on to the cable.
Tighten jam nut, then install the cable
ends on the junction unit.
CAUTION:
When changing the cable end piece posi-
tion. It should be screwed in at least 8mm.
2) Secure the cable and install the clamp
fixing plate.
D. CONNECTING THE SHIFT CABLE TO
THE ACTUATOR
1) Determine installation location of the
actuator. Fix the actuator by referring
the instructions in ACTUATOR INSTAL-
LATION page 8.
2) Remove four screws securing the cover
of the actuator, and then the cover.
3) Screw cable end on the shift cable so
that the edge of the cable end is in
between 7 and 8mm (0.28~0.31 in.)
from the end of the shift cable, and
tighten the rod nut.
NOTE:
Check shift cable end play.
If over 15mm (0.59 in.), refer to page 24 for
stroke adjustment.
4) Confirm that the positioning mark on
the base coincides with the shift rack
end.
