Preparation
Choose a mounting location for the control head
which will provide comfortable operation and
unobstructed movement of the hand lever and
control mechanism. Provide clearance to grasp
hand lever and pull out for neutral throttle opera-
tion.
NOTE: Minimum clearance below mounting
surface for cables is 16". Use the template to
cut appropriate (single or twin) mounting holes
as shown on pages 4-24 and 4-25.
NOTE: The remote control box should be
installed on the right side of the steering wheel.

After determining the positions of remote control
box mounting holes, drill the holes.
1. Make five 20mm (0.79 in) diameter holes in
the positions shown.
2. Circumscribe the four holes (other than one
hole projecting to the left).
3. Cut off along the line.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to make the projecting hole for
the 704 dual binnacle in the wrong position, or
leads could be cut during installation.
