Outboard Rigging Guide - 2001
QUICK START
Introduction
Quick Start outlines the most common Yamaha
components required to install Yamaha outboards.
NOTE: The 703 control box includes electrical
components and a 16.4 ft. main wiring harness.
The switch panel or primary harnesses listed are
not required for the 703 control. If a 704 binnacle
control, 705 flush mount, or any aftermarket con-
trol box is used, a switch panel and primary
wiring harness is required.
The Commonly Used Rigging Accessories chart
lists many frequently used components, like
gauges, fuel filters, riggings hoses, and optional
control box spacers with their Yamaha part num-
bers.
The Quick Start Details section is a more com-
prehensive listing of rigging components for the
most commonly rigged models and is aimed more
at the technician who is new to rigging Yamaha
outboards. The section is arranged by small
engines, mid-sized engines, single engine V4 &
V6 installations, and dual-engine V4 & V6 rig-
gings.
For more detailed information and information
about models not included in the Quick Start
Section, see the other chapters elsewhere in this
manual.
