2. Install the new throttle cable, being sure to fit
the inner cable end in the groove and the
outer cable end into the hole as shown. Also,
install the new shift cable, the detent roller,
the washer and the cotter pin on the shift arm.

3. Put the wave washer in place, then reinstall
the shift arm (with cable attached) on the
steering handle with the bolt. Be sure to align
the shift lever shaft end with the hole in the
shift arm. Fit the shift arm detent roller to the
"N" position of the detent spring.
NOTE: Be sure to put the nut in place for the
steering handle grip before continuing.
4. Reinstall the other half of the steering handle.
Make sure the inner and outer cables of both
the throttle and shift control cables are prop-
erly in place. Verify proper movement of the
shift lever once the handle has been reassem-
bled.

5. Reinstall the components of the steering han-
dle grip. Reinstall the handle grip, the friction
piece, the compression spring, the steel wash-
er, the plastic washer, and the screw. Reinstall
the rubber steering handle grip.
6. Pass the shift cable, throttle cable, and stop
switch leads through the vinyl hose (sheath).
7. Install the new cables and switch lead in the
bracket on the control panel. Reinstall the fit-
ting plate with the screws. Put the grommet in
the hole left by the emergency stop switch.
