9. Mount the starter motor on the bracket as
shown below. Install the lead wire (larger
end) on the connection on the bottom of the
starter motor. Also, install the switch fitting
plate to the bracket with the lead wires from
the starter relay and rectifier.
10. Install the starter relay in the rubber holder
and mount it on the fitting plate. The rectifier
should be mounted above the relay. Mount
the bracket assembly on the engine as shown.
N O T E : The mounting bolts are of different
lengths. The two shortest bolts should be mount-
ed in the upper and lower holes on the left side.
The one longest bolt should be installed in the
upper right hole after the battery cable is installed
(see next step). The remaining bolt is installed in
the lower right hole.

11. Install the grommet on the battery lead
assembly and then route the lead through the
front panel as shown below.
12. Connect the lead wire (with the white tracer)
to the left connection on the starter relay.
Install the other battery lead wire on the
starter bracket with the long bolt. Connect the
lead wire (from the bottom of the starter) to
the right connection on the relay.
