Step 7. Install the SMS software bundles according to the supplied instructions.
Step 8. Enter the following at the prompt:
# swlist -l bundle
Review the software load table for ignite tools and SMS-Software.
Setting the Network Configuration
The customer questionnaire is delivered with the SMS. It contains the customer's hostnames and valid IP
addresses.
Step 1. Verify the settings and adjust if necessary. At the prompt enter the following:
# more /etc/hosts
Step 2. Add the Private LAN address to the /etc/host file:
192.168.2.100 private
Step 3. Verify the valid IP against the customer questionnaire by entering the following at the prompt:
# more /etc/rc.config.d/netconf
Step 4. Edit the /etc/rc.config.d/netconf file and add the following:

# INTERFACE_NAME[0]=lan0
# IP_ADDRESS[0]=192.168.2.100 — increment or change as required
# SUBNET_MASK[0]=255.255.255.0
# ROUTE_DESTINATION[0]=default
# ROUTE_MASK[0]=""
# ROUTE_GATEWAY[0]=192.168.2.100 — increment or change as required
# ROUTE_COUNT[0]=0 — increment or change as required
# ROUTE_ARGS[0]=""
Installing Scan Software
Step 1. Locate the hpux_sms_scansw_<major>_<minor>.depot installation.
Step 2. Start the software installation by entering the following:
swinstall -s /<fully qualified path>/hpux_sms_scansw_<major>_<minor>.depot SCAN-SW
r=V<version number>
Step 3. Verify the installation by entering the following:
swverify SCAN-SW
