Communication

Defines RS-485 communications parameters between the control unit and a host device.
This includes the following:
Baud Rate
Node Address
Enable Serial

Pump

NOTE
Use the pump option if you need to pull a sample from process under
vacuum.
To turn the pump on or off, do the following:
Select "Pump" from the Setup Key menu.
Select Pump On or Pump Off.

Carrier Gas

Define which carrier gas is used to deliver the calibration gases to the ana-
lyzer. You must select the proper carrier gas to ensure proper calibration
of the analyzer.
This menu option also allows you to calibrate the analyzer flow sensor to
improve its accuracy.
To use the Carrier Gas part of this menu option, follow these steps:
1.
Select "Carrier Gas" from the Setup Key menu.
2.
Select the Carrier Gas sub-menu.
3.
Select the carrier gas used to deliver gases to the analyzer. Choices are
nitrogen, carbon dioxide, argon, or helium. If measuring close to 100
percent oxygen, we recommend that you select nitrogen as the carrier
gas.
Define the baud rate that the control unit and the host com-
puter are using to communicate. Choices are 300, 600,
1200, 2400, 4800, and 9600 baud.
Define the physical address for the control unit (between
0 and 255) on a network so the host computer can iden-
tify the control unit if using network communications (see
below). Note that each control unit must be assigned a
unique address; otherwise, communication results will be
unpredictable.
Temporarily disable control unit serial communications.
This menu option only applies if you have a pump installed on your
CG1000. It allows you to turn the pump on or off.
