12. Reach in and remove the cell straight out of the entry hole. Discard
the cell O-ring but keep the spacer and cell contact clip for insertion
with the new cell.
13. Once you remove the inlet tube assembly, check that the cell inlet tube
is not cracked or loose. If cracked, order a new cell inlet tube. If loose,
do the following:
• Loosen the Swagelok nut the connects the T-fitting to the elbow fit-
ting and disconnect the T-fitting from the elbow fitting.
• Pull out the cell inlet tube.
• Reposition the cell inlet tube and silicon seal in the T-fitting.
• Extend the inlet tube 3/8" (.95 centimeters) past the T-fitting.
• Reconnect the T-fitting and elbow fitting.
• Hand tighten and then use a wrench to tighten an additional one-
quarter turn.

Installing the New Cell

Refer to Figures 7-2 and 7-3.
1.
Order the new cell (part number 72611KE). This cell will come with its
own cell O-ring.
2.
Place the spacer directly on the white band of the cell.
3.
Take the new O-ring and slide it over the open end of the cell until it is
midway between the white band and this open end.
4.
Place the cell contact clip over the open end of the cell. The easiest
way to do this is to lay the contact clip on a flat surface and then place
the cell into it. Ensure that the cell contact clip touches the new O-ring
(Figure 7-2).
5.
Insert the cell into the T-fitting and continue to push in the cell as
you pull the O-ring back away from the cell entry hex nut with your
thumb and forefingers. You should feel the cell contact collapse as you
push in the cell. You will need to apply extra pressure until the cell
touches the bottom of the T-fitting. Once the cell bottoms out, push
the O-ring back against the T-fitting. Let the spacer sit against the O-
ring. The contact cell clip must stay near the open end of the cell and
must not touch the white band of the cell. The O-ring must be posi-
tioned on the white band.
