Replacing the Pump

Removing the Old Pump
1.
Remove the analyzer top cover.
2.
Remove both tubes that connect to the pump. Push the gray ring on
the pump fitting towards the pump so as to free the tubes.
3.
Remove the fitting from the top of the pump by turning the fitting
counterclockwise.

Remove the wires that connect to the pump (mark the wires for identifi-
cation). Looking from the side of the motor the wire connections are:

Disconnect the pump ground wire from the stud on the chassis.
6.
Remove the four screws and accompanying lockwashers underneath
the analyzer that hold the pump to the analyzer. Save these screws
and lockwashers for installing the new pump.
7.
Remove the pump.
8.
Remove the four isolation pads and two kep nuts from the pump.
Save these to install the new pump.
Installing the New Pump in the Analyzer
1.
Retrieve the new pump (PN 38019JE). Attach the isolation pads to the
new pump by replacing the two flathead screws with two isolators
and attaching the other two isolators to the corner openings using the
kep nuts.
2.
Reconnect the wires to the pump by reversing the actions taken in
Step 4 of "Removing the Old Pump."
3.
Place the new pump into the analyzer.
4.
Reattach the four screws and lockwashers underneath the analyzer
(holds the pump to the analyzer).
