Performing the Rest of the Installation

If you installed the BorderNet 500 Gateway with a keyboard and monitor or serial cable, perform the rest of the
installation process as follows:
1. Log on as user admin. The first time you log on, no password is required. You set the password when you
run the installation script, which starts automatically when you have logged on.
The Administration menu appears:

2. Download/Upload
3. Become a failover team member
4. Leave failover team and become standalone
5. Wipe email logs
6. Set password

2. Select 1 to install the BorderNet 500 Gateway.
The installation program asks if you want to allow only one computer to configure the gateway:
Basic unit installation program version 4.8.x
Press return to keep the default value
Network configuration inside:
Physical device name[eth0]:
IP address [0.0.0.0]: 10.47.2.242
Netmask/bits [255.255.255.0]: 255.255.0.0
Deactivate other interfaces? (y/n) [n]
Computers from which configuration is allowed:
You can select either a single computer or a network.
Configure from a single computer? (y/n) [y]
3. Enter either y or n, and press Enter.
4. If you answered y to the last question, the installation program asks for the IP address of the configuring
computer (the computer that will configure the gateway.) The mask is set automatically. Enter the IP address
as requested.
