7.4.4
Maintenance of the cooling hoses
Carefully inspect the coolant hoses every six months for cracks and leaks. Replace any
coolant hoses that have cracks or leaks.
If the hose couplings leak, then replace the EPDM seal/gasket.
Note
Coolant can escape when the coolant hoses are disassembled!
The safety notes of the manufacturer of the agent added to the coolant must be carefully
complied with.
Coolant
Coolant can escape when the coolant hoses are disconnected. The coolant is harmful to
eyes and skin and can damage surfaces.
Therefore, use appropriate protective clothing for all work on the converter. However, if
your eyes or skin do come into contact with coolant, rinse the affected area thoroughly with
tap water as soon as possible. If coolant leaks, eliminate the source of the problem and
remove the liquid from the surfaces affected.
7.4.5
Maintenance of the pumps
The pumps should be inspected in regular intervals for smooth running, leakages and normal
housing temperatures.
Irrespective of these inspections, the slide ring seal of the pumps should be replaced every
two years.
Note
Before starting any maintenance work on the pump, close the ball valves before and after
the pump.
Note
Coolant can escape when the pumps are disassembled!
The safety notes of the manufacturer of the agent added to the coolant must be carefully
complied with!
