Improper maintenance can lead to malfunction of the wire
rope in the rope drive and to external and internal corrosion!
Only use rope lubrication recommended by the manufac-
turer. To much, or incorrect lubrication can lead to exces-
sive dirt adhesion on the surface of the rope.
Always lubricate the rope right the way round.
The failure of wire ropes can result in serious injuries or
death.
Not wearing suitable protective clothing or equipment when
lubricating the rope can lead to skin problems!
Wear the required PPE.

Application
The wire ropes must always be sufficiently lubricated in
everyday operation.
Lubrication intervals for ropes depend on operating conditions:
GROVE can therefore not precisely define the lubrication intervals.
GROVE ensures that cable lengths are chosen according to cus-
tomer specifications and that they correspond to the load lift chart.
To keep wear and damage caused by corrosion to a minimum,
ensure that:

Carry out rope lubrication in dry, normal temperature, and well-
aired surroundings.
Clean the wire ropes with hand-wire brushes.

Apply the lubricant to the rope thinly and, if necessary, more

rounding temperature.
Typical procedures for applying lubricant are lubrication
