Protective equipment:
Special tool:
1. Dismantle the winch engine.
Dismantle the winch brakes.

3. Check the drive-side splined shaft connection.
ð The involute spline connection should show no plastic
deformation or abrasive wear.
If damage can be seen on the involute spline connections, the
affected parts must be replaced immediately.
