7.9.2 Slewing ring lubrication

Clean the lubrication point thoroughly down to the bare metal
before the first application of lubricant.
Shut down drive engine and safeguard it from being

restarted.
Thoroughly clean the gearing.

Check gearing of slewing ring and slewing ring pinion for

wear and replace if necessary.
Start the drive engine.

Activate slewing ring lubrication:

Press the push button (3) for slewing ring lubrication on
n
the right of the control panel and keep it depressed.
Use the control lever to slew the uppercarriage 360° to
n
the left and right to distribute the lubricant evenly over the
gearing.
Release the push button.
6.
Check whether an uninterrupted film of lubricant is present.
7.
Repeat the lubrication process if necessary.
Information
Lubricate the slewing ring every 10 operating hours or daily
(depending on operating conditions)! Check the lubricant tank
weekly and top up lubricant if necessary!
