CRANKCASE
CAMSHAFT CAM HEIGHT
Measure the cam height.
STANDARD:
IN/EX: 27.972 mm (1.1013 in)
SERVICE LIMIT:
IN/EX: 26.972 mm (1.0619 in)
If the measurement is less than the service limit,
replace the camshaft
CAMSHAFT ROLLER/ VALVE LIFTER
ROLLER O.D.
Measure and record the roller O.D.
STANDARD: 4.990 – 5.000 mm (0.1965 – 0.1969 in)
SERVICE LIMIT: 4.950 mm (0.0.1949 in)
If the measurement is less than the service limit,
replace the roller.
CAMSHAFT I.D.
Measure and record the camshaft I.D.
STANDARD: 5.020 – 5.050 mm (0.1976 – 0.1988in)
SERVICE LIMIT: 5.100 mm (0.2008 in)
If the measurement is more than the service limit,
replace the camshaft
DECOMPRESSOR
Move the decompressor arm with your finger.
Make sure the decompressor weight [1] operates
smoothly.
Check that the decompressor moves and automatically
returns back to its original position.
If the decompressor is faulty, replace the cam pulley as
an assembly.
