OIL OUTLET VALVE INSTALLATION
Align the two projections of the oil outlet valve [1] with
the two grooves in the cylinder barrel [2], and install the
oil outlet valve.
Align the cutout in the stopper plate [3] with the "A" part
[4] of the cylinder barrel and set the stopper plate on the
oil outlet valve.
Make sure that the cutout in the valve is in alignment
with the "A" part of the cylinder barrel.
Tighten the screw (3 x 5 mm) [5].
TORQUE: 1.0 N·m (0.1 kgf·m, 0.7 lbf·ft)
PISTON/CONNECTING ROD CAP
INSTALLATION
Apply oil to the inner wall of the cylinder and to the outer
surface of the piston.
Install the piston assembly in the cylinder so that the
"▲" mark [1] on the piston head is toward the intake
valve side (The crankshaft must be at the top dead
center of the compression stroke.).
• Take care not to break the piston rings when
installing the piston assembly in the cylinder.
Install the crankshaft in the cylinder barrel
Apply oil to the connecting rod big end bearing and the
crank pin, then connect the connecting rod to the crank
pin.
Apply oil to the connecting rod cap bearing.
Install so that the rib of the oil dipper and the rib of the
connecting rod face in the same direction [2].
Note that the oil dipper [3] must be on the flywheel side.
Tighten the connecting rod bolts to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 5.9 N·m (0.6 kgf·m, 4.3 lbf·ft)
