Miscellaneous Programming Options

Confirmation Alarm Timer
• Address: 3412-3413
• Default: 1,14 (30 minutes)
• Selections: 0,0 (Disabled) to 3,12 (60 minutes)
Use this parameter to set the time for the Confirmation Alarm Timer. The amount of time entered in this parameter defines the
amount of time that must pass after two independent alarms occur before the control panel declares a confirmed alarm. The
Confirmation Alarm Timer complies with DD243 Confirmed Alarm Operation.
Addresses 3412 and 3413 must be programmed when setting the Confirmation Alarm Timer. The system uses the following
formula to set the Confirmation Alarm Timer:
Address 3412 entry x 16 + Address 3413 entry = Confirmation Alarm Timer setting
For example, use the following steps to set the Confirmation Alarm Timer to 30 minutes:
1. Enter "1" in Address 3412 (1 x 16 = 16).
2. Enter "14" in Address 3413 (16=14 = 30).
Commonly used time settings:
• 1,14 = 30 minutes ( 1 x 16 = 16 + 14 = 30 minutes )
• 2,13 = 45 minutes ( 2 x 16 = 32 + 13 = 45 minutes )
• 3,12 = 60 minutes ( 3 x 16 = 48 + 12 = 60 minutes )
An entry of 0,0 disables the confirmed alarm operation. Values from 1 to 29 operate as 30 minutes.
Values from 30 to 60 operate as entered (for example, with an entry of 31 the panel declares a
confirmed alarm if two independent alarms occur within 31 minutes). Values greater than 60 operate as
60 minutes.
Factory Default
• Address: 2944
• Default: 0 (Maintain user-specified changes)
• Selections:
− 0 = Maintain user-specified changes
− 1 = Return all parameters to factory default settings
Use this parameter to restore all of the manufacturer's default settings for all parameters (including this one) by
entering 1.
