RZ/G1E SODIMM Development Platform Hardware User Guide

Purpose

The RZ/G1E SODIMM development platform incorporates RZ/G1E CPU based SODIMM SOM and SODIMM Carrier
board for complete validation of RZ/G1E CPU functionality. This document is the hardware user guide for the RZ/G1E
SODIMM carrier board. This guide provides detailed information on the overall design and usage of the SODIMM
carrier board from a hardware systems perspective. The details about the RZ/G1E SODIMM SOM hardware is
explained in RZ/G1E SOM user manual document "iW-RainboW-G22M-RZG1E_SODIMMSOM-HardwareUserGuide-
RELx.y".

Overview

iWave's RZ/G1E SODIMM development platform incorporates RZ/G1E SODIMM SOM which is based on Renesas's
RZ/G1E Dual 1.0GHZ ARM Cortex A7 1.0 processor and the SODIMM carrier board with optional 4.3" resistive display
kit. The development board can be used for quick prototyping of various applications targeted by the RZ/G1E
processor. With the 100mmx72mm Pico ITX size, the kit is highly packed with all the necessary on-board connectors
to validate the various RZ/G1E CPU interface features. iWave also supports HDMI Add-On Module for RZ/G1E
SODIMM development platform to validate expansion connector interfaces of RZ/G1E SODIMM SOM.
