It is recommended to fold the overcab bed upwards to driving position be-
fore setting off.

Push mattress tray (Fig. 71,2) and mattress (Fig. 71,1) upwards as far
as they will go.
Press against the mattress tray (Fig. 71,2) to release the locking device.
Pull the mattress tray and the mattress (Fig. 71,1) downward until the
mattress tray rests on the side frame (Fig. 71,3).

Pull-down bed

 The maximum permitted pull-down bed load is 250 kg.
 Load the two cupboards beneath pull-down bed, right and left (if pre-
sent), with a maximum of 5 kg each.
 The pull-down bed is not to be used for the storage of luggage. When
the bed is not being used, only place the bed linen which is required
for two persons in it.
 Before commencing the journey, make sure that the pull-down bed
has engaged in the lock.
 Only use the pull-down bed, if the safety guard is set up.
 Never allow small children to remain in the pull-down bed without su-
pervision.
 But in particular with regard to small children less than 6 years of age,
users should ensure that they cannot fall out of the pull-down bed.
 Use separate children's beds or travel cots suitable for children.
 Switch off the reading lamps on the underside of the pull-down bed
when the bed is lowered. Fire hazard!
 Switch off the reading lamps in the pull-down bed before the bed is
pushed up. Fire hazard!
Open the pull-down bed in the case of long periods of inactivity or in
case of strong sunshine to prevent the heat from accumulating.
The pull-down bed is equipped with a lock for the top (closed) final posi-
tion.
