This chapter contains instructions about living in the vehicle.
7.1

Doors

 Only drive with locked doors.
Locking the doors can prevent them from opening of their own accord,
e.g. during an accident.
Locked doors also prevent forced entry, e.g. when waiting at traffic
lights. However, in an emergency, locked doors make it more difficult for
helpers to enter the vehicle.
When leaving the vehicle, always lock the doors.
Depending on the model, the locks of the driver's and the passenger's
doors are part of the base vehicle. For these models, the opening and
closing of the driver's door and the front passenger's door is described in
the instruction manual of the base vehicle.

Insert the key into locking cylinder (Fig. 30,2) and turn until the door lock
is unlatched.
Return the key to the central position and remove it.
Pull on the door handle (Fig. 30,1). The door is open.
Insert the key into locking cylinder (Fig. 30,2) and turn until the door lock
is engaged.
Return the key to the central position and remove it.
