Bonnet (model I)

 When the bonnet is open, there is a risk of injury in the engine com-
partment.
 Even if the engine was switched off some time ago, it might still be
hot. Danger of burns!
 Do not work in the engine compartment while the engine is running.
 The bonnet must be kept firmly closed and locked during the journey.
After closing, check whether the lock has engaged. In order to carry
this out, pull on the bonnet.

Pull the release lever (Fig. 6,1) situated on the left-hand side of the vehi-
cle on the dashboard. The bonnet (Fig. 7,1) opens.

Move the bonnet forwards and downwards in an arch.

Move the bonnet upwards in an arch.

Press down the centre of the bonnet until the catch lock engages audi-
bly.

Check whether the bonnet is locked correctly. In order to carry this out,
pull on the bonnet.

Unlock and open the bonnet.

Open the lid (Fig. 8,1) on the filler neck of the washer fluid container.

Carefully fill in windscreen washer fluid.

Close the lid on the filler neck of the washer fluid container.

Close the bonnet.
