Overview
What Are the Voice Messaging
Services?
The voice messaging system provides three types of service:
Automated Attendant Service. Acts like an automated receptionist. It
answers outside calls and transfers them to the destination selected by
the caller.
Call Answer Service. Acts like a sophisticated answering machine. It
allows the caller to leave a message or to transfer to another extension if
the called party is busy or does not answer.
Voice Mail Service. Allows subscribers to listen to messages and to
manage their own mailboxes.
Figure 1-1 provides an overview of the features associated with each service.
