9.1 Error code list

Error
Cause
F0001
Ramp-up and/or ramp-down time too short
Overcurrent
Quick commissioning incorrectly made
Permissible cable length exceeded
Earth faults or short-circuit on motor supply line
Motor incorrectly connected
Mechanically overloaded or blocked
Motor power (P0307) exceeds VSD power
(P0206)
F0002
Regenerative mode due to too short ramp-down
time
Overvoltage
Pulse frequency can lead to overvoltage (power
reflexions or electrical resonance)
Firmware installed is 1.15 or 1.17
Contact at the SED2's output
Input voltage too high or transients or
interferences occur
Input choke
No mechanical load applied to motor shaft
Regenerative mode due to active load
SED2 started before it reached standstill
Belt between motor and fan not tight enough,
producing slip
F0003
Mains supply failed or outside specified limits
Undervoltage
F0004
Built-in fan does not run
VSD over-
Mounting site more than 1,000 m above sea
temperature
level
Ventilation not sufficient
Environmental temperature higher than that
specified for the VSD

Diagnostics and troubleshooting
Increase the ramp times in accordance with the
recommendations made in subsection 7.1.2
The motor data entered in the parameters for quick
commissioning must match those of the motor in use
Change the installation or use the recommended
output filters
Test motor cable and, if necessary, replace it
Is the motor correctly connected (star / delta)?
Motor must not be blocked or overloaded.
Calculation of the power currently delivered by the
motor shows whether the power effectively drawn
accords with the power indicated on the rating plate, or
whether the motor is mechanically overloaded:
P motor = r0027 * r0025 * root(3) * cosφ * η
Compare the SED2's rating plate with that of the motor
Increase the ramp-down time (P1121) or activate the
Vdc controller for the DC link (P1240)
− Increase the pulse frequency (P1800)
− In the case of high environmental temperatures,
improve cooling and/or deactivate automatic
derating of the pulse frequency
− Note drop in power depending on pulse frequency
(refer to Data Sheet on SED2, CM1N5192, page 6)
These firmware versions can trigger F0002 with no
reason. Install V1.41 or higher
Ensure that the SED2 is started only when the switch
at the output is closed
Mains voltage must lie within the limits indicated on the
rating plate
If compensation equipment is installed, check its
function
Remove the choke
F0002 can occur when no load is applied to the motor
shaft
Ensure that a fan / pump cannot be driven by some
other fan / pump (e.g. via a bypass damper or when a
fan is driven by 2 motors)
Make certain that the SED2 has come to a complete
standstill or activate "Flying start" (P1200)
Check to ensure that the belt is correctly adjusted and
that it is not worn out or defective
Mains voltage must lie within the limits indicated on the
rating plate and must not be susceptible to short-time
power failures or voltage drops
Check to see if the fan is blocked or defective. Replace
it, if necessary
The admissible power is reduced depending on the
elevation above sea level (refer to Data Sheet on VSD)
Set the pulse frequency (P1800) to a lower level
The admissible power is reduced depending on the
environmental temperature (refer to Data Sheet on
VSD)
