Clearing a paper jam at autoload

Paper Removal Opening

If an autoloading error causes a paper jam, execute autoload again after
removing the jammed paper completely from the printer as explained
below.
1. Locate the paper jam (See "Locating the paper jam" on page 3.).
2. Put your hand into the opening of transfer unit A (or B) and extract
the paper in the direction shown (downward). After extracting all the
jammed paper, cut and remove the paper through the opening.

Notes:
Do not pull the paper to this side until the jammed paper is
completely extracted from the drum unit. If the paper is still jammed,
pulling the paper may leave a piece of paper in the unit.
Paper stuck near the brush of the drum unit may be smeared with
the toner. Remove all the smeared paper through the opening of the
transfer unit.
When removing jammed paper, be careful not to scratch the drum
surface by your finger or watch.
