Checking the gear oil level
Adding the gear oil
Info
Too little gear oil or poor-quality gear oil results in premature wear to the transmission.
Gear oil must only be topped up when the engine is cold.
Changing the gear oil
Warning
Danger of scalding Engine and gear oil get very hot when the motorcycle is ridden.

Wear suitable protective clothing and safety gloves.
–
In the event of scalding, rinse the area affected immediately with lukewarm water.
Note
Environmental hazard Hazardous substances cause environmental damage.

Dispose of oils, grease, filters, fuel, cleaning agents, brake fluid, etc., correctly and in compliance with the appli-
cable regulations.

The gear oil drain plug is located on the left side of the underside of the engine.
To facilitate draining, there is a hole in the engine guard at the level of the gear oil drain plug.

Engine stopped a few minutes ago.
