Adjusting the riding sag

Caution
Risk of injury Parts of the shock absorber will move around if the shock absorber is detached incorrectly.
The shock absorber is filled with highly compressed nitrogen.

Loosen retaining ring
Adjust the spring preload by turning adjusting ring

Turn counterclockwise to increase the spring preload.
Turning clockwise reduces the spring preload.

The necessary tools are included.
Hold adjusting ring
Measure dimension
With another person holding the motorcycle, the rider, wearing full
protective clothing, sits on the seat in a normal riding position (feet
on footrests) and bounces up and down a few times.
The rear wheel suspension levels out.
Another person again measures the distance between the rear axle
and the rear fender using the sag gage.
Note the value as dimension

Adjust the riding sag.
Preparatory work
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. (
Turn tap handle of the fuel tap to the OFF position.
Remove the fuel tank.
Remove the air filter box.
Remove main silencer. (
