7 PREPARING FOR USE
Get used to the handling characteristic of the motorcycle on suitable terrain before undertaking a more challenging
ride.
Also, ride as slowly as possible and in a standing position to get a better feel for the motorcycle.
Do not undertake any off-road trips that exceed your ability and experience.
Hold the handlebar firmly with both hands and keep your feet on the footrests when riding.
Do not carry the luggage.
The maximum permissible overall weight and the maximum permissible axle loads must not be exceeded.
Check the spoke tension. (

The spoke tension must be checked after half an hour of operation.
Run the engine in. (

Preparing the vehicle for difficult operating conditions

Use of the vehicle under difficult conditions, such as on sand or on wet, dusty and muddy surfaces/offroad, can
result in significantly increased wear of components, such as the air filter, drive train, brake system, or suspension
components. For this reason, it may be necessary to inspect or replace parts before the next scheduled service.
