1.7.2 VNC Viewer - remote control on an external PC

In SINUMERIK Operate, a VNC (Virtual Network Computing) Viewer can be integrated in the
operating area to access a remote PC located in the network of the control. This access allows
applications on the PC to be operated directly from the control. For example, missing information
can be fetched from a CAD/CAM system or from the production planning, or process participants
informed about changed production parameters.
After a one-off configuration of the connection, a switch can be made to the remote connected
PC by pressing a key.
VNC area configuration on the user interface
Remote access to a PC in the
network is possible via the inter-
faces, e.g. X130.
The configuration is performed
in SINUMERIK Operate.
