Volume alarms

Volume alarms in automatic ventilation modes
If the volume alarm messages are activated and
Fabius does not detect a breath in a specific time
period, the alarm APNOEA FLOW !! or APNOEA
FLOW !!! is triggered, see chapter ''Alarm – Cause
– Remedy'' on page 157.
Volume alarms in ManSpont
If the volume alarm messages are activated and
Fabius does not detect a breath in a specific time
period, after 30 seconds the alarm APNOEA
FLOW !! with the priority CAUTION is triggered. If
this alarm is not remedied, the priority increases
after a further 30 seconds to WARNING.
The volume alarm messages are automatically
activated when changing from Standby mode in a
ventilation mode.

Setting the minute volume alarm limits

The standard alarm limits configured for the
ventilation mode can be used unchanged, see
chapter ''Changing the alarm limits'' on page 138,
or
the alarm limits can be set individually for the
current case.
1 Press the
(A) key.

The dialog window (B) with the alarm limits opens.
2 Adjust upper and lower alarm limit values of the
minute volume (MV ), see setting ranges of the
alarm parameters in chapter ''Changing the
alarm limits'' on page 138.
3 Confirm new values.

Deactivating the volume alarms

The volume alarms can be switched on and off
during operation by pressing the
chapter ''Switching the volume alarms on and off''
on page 145.
